The reason the Sea Monster looks so cool is because it was done by
Carlo Rambaldi. The same man that built the fully functioning Alien in the movie ALIEN (1979). Yes it was all Giger's designs & sculpting....but Rambaldi is responsible for the beast's mechanics in the mouth and head.
