The Legend Of Hell House is a 1973 film directed by John Hough. The screenplay is by the great Richard Matheson, based upon his novel HELL HOUSE.
This movie is 95 minutes of atmospheric dynamite. My all time favorite "haunted house" movie.....even more so than the great "The Haunting"(1963)
The plot revolves around a team of investigators sent to investigate a notoriously haunted house.
There is a real sense of dread in just about every scene,It's no wonder that the 70's are my favorite decade for films.....
Great performances, incredible writing by an amazing author, solid performances....and Roddy McDowall chewing up every scene he's in. If you haven't seen it, you need to.
